Saint Paul Hummus and Alley Tour
Guided tour of the Saint Paul's thriving "chickpea district*", led by urban geography PhD and writer Bill Lindeke. The tour is a one and a half (1.5) mile walk along the sidewalks of Saint Paul's Snelling Avenue area. It will feature historical details and contemporary urban exploration, all revolving around the twin themes of hummus and the utility of alleys.
Edible parts of the tour included in the price of admission: hummus (or similar spreadable) from four (4) different local establishments run by people from countries in and around the Middle East and the Mediterranean Sea, including Turkey, Jordan, Greece, and Palestine.
The tour will likewise feature five (5) unique or interesting alleys in this historic part of Saint Paul.
Q: What is the connection between alleyways and hummus?
A: Come on the tour and find out!
There will also be an optional fifth (5th) hummus stop at the end for people who would like to continue eating hummus.
* I named it myself.
