Comics and Conservation
Comics and Conservation: A Teen Workshop in the Park with Mita Mahato, co-sponsored by City of Seattle Office of Arts & Culture (for ages 12-17) Seward Park (Meet in front of the Audubon Center off the main parking lot of Seward Park) FREE Local comics and cut paper artist Mita Mahato will guide teen participants through a variety of comics-related exercises based upon the natural elements and unnatural disturbances (litter, noise pollution, etc.) they encounter at the park, making mini comics about water pollution, climate change, city parks preservation, environmental justice, and other topical issues. No drawing experience required. Supplies and recycled hand-bound sketchbook provided. Enrollment limited to 12 participants (all participants must register prior to class).
