September 8: CityDance School and Conservatory Audition
Led by Artistic Director Lorraine Spiegler, The CityDance School & Conservatory offers a well-rounded curriculum of Vaganova ballet training and technique-based contemporary dance, rounded out by jazz, hip-hop and world dance forms.
CityDance strives to meet the needs of each individual according to his or her ability and goals, and a student's level is determined by these factors rather than age.
DETAILS
Your dancer will participate in a ballet and contemporary group dance class (no solos required).
You will receive your dancers placement results via email from our Registrar within one week of the audition. Your placement email will list all of the classes our Artistic Director feels would best fit your dancer. You will then work with our Artistic Director and programming staff to decide on which classes best fit your schedule and the goals of your dancer.

AUDITION SCHEDULE
Saturday, September 8:
CityDance School & Conservatory: Rockville Campus
Ages 7-10 years old
Registration:10:30am - 11:00am
Modern Technique Class: 11:00am-12:00pm
Ballet Technique Class: 12:00pm-1:00pm
Ages 11-16 years old
Registration: 8:30am - 9:00am
Ballet Technique Class: 9:00am-10:30am
Jazz/Contemporary Technique Class: 12:30pm-2:00pm
PHOTOS
Please bring a headshot and a full body shot of your dancer (preferably in arabesque or tendu a la second). These photos do not have to be professional, they can be taken with your cell phone and printed at home. If you have no way to print your photos you can email your photos directly to cristina@citydance.net.
DRESS CODE
Female:
Ballet: black or navy leotard, pink convertible tights, pink ballet shoes with elastic straps
Modern: black or navy leotard, black dance shorts/leggings and bare feet
Male:
Ballet: fitted black or white t-shirt or tank, black men's tights, black/white ballet shoes
Modern: fitted black or white t-shirt or tank and black dance shorts and bare feet
