All hosted by Veronica Bleaus, the self-proclaimed "worst drag queen in the Midwest."
With a musical based on this Academy Awardwinning, classically OUTrageous movie currently rocking Broadway, our rare screening in glorious 35mm is not to be missed. Hugo Weaving, Guy Pearce, and Terence Stamp star as a trailblazing trio who make new friends with the help of ABBA and their bus, Priscilla, on a colorful caper through the Australian outback in full drag. Come in your best frocks, feathers, and other fabulousness!
Brashly scripted, PRISCILLA features outrageous costumes and a high-camp soundtrack. Writer-director Stephan Elliott follows an aging trans woman (Terence Stamp) and two drag queens (Guy Pearce from MEMENTO and Hugo Weaving from THE MATRIX) as they snap, snarl and struggle their way from Sydney (Australia's gay heartland) to Alice Springs to perform a cabaret show.
A bitchy, gaudy, kitsch comedy classic, PRISCILLA established a firm position for gay culture in the Australian mainstream and rocked movie houses around the globe!
