Patti Gallagher starring in Memories with Wayne Abravanel on piano
Patti Gallagher has toured with Giancarlo Menottis Opera, "The Telephone and sung leading roles in operas and musicals with companies in St. Louis, Indianapolis, and Chicago. She is a graduate from Indiana University of Music earning a Master's Degree in Vocal Performance and a PhD. in Theatre Arts. In Los Angeles she taught singing and acting at Santa Monica College before retiring to Palm Springs where she sang opera at Mario's Restaurant, appeared in six "Musical Chairs", served on the board of the Palm Springs Opera Guild, and sang in three "Opera in the Park" productions. In 2000 Patti was crowned Ms. Senior America. Memories is Ms. Gallaghers third show for this series, now in its 8th year, and is about stories and songs about life inspired by her own, including the recent loss of her husband. Joining her will be acclaimed musical director Wayne Abravanel on piano.
