Creativity and Connection: finding the natural path, produced by foolsFURY theater and Venado Retreat
Creativity and Connection: finding the natural path A unique 2-day/1-night experience at Sonoma Venado Retreat
Date: October 20 & 21, 2018
Take a weekend in the woods to focus on your inner voice. Get centered. Take a risk. Return refreshed.
Politics, work and family responsibilities are fulfilling and relentless! They can leave us more active, energized and connected and also feeling drained and isolated. When we understand how to access creative paths to mindfulness we are able to relieve stress and open ourselves to new possibilities. Mindful exploration skills provide a solid foundation to develop new perspectives, create possibilities and deepen interpersonal relations. The natural setting of the experience free of distractions, makes room for profound growth in a short amount of time.
In this unique two-day funshop, you'll have opportunities to explore various key modalities used in ensemble theater creation which develop both the individual and the individual within the group. Skills include: sitting and moving meditation, sound and voice improvisation, free-writing and group communication skills including reflective listening and sitting in counsel. There will be designated time together and apart.
Any level of familiarity or experience is welcome and appropriate. This workshop is suitable for teachers, lawyers, bodyworkers, team leaders, professional artists, or anyone ages 16+ who wants to access creativity and communication skills through mindfulness.
