ARTBARK INTERNATIONAL & FRIENDS PRESENTS | ADAPT FEST 2013
The ADaPT Fest returns to the U.S. with artists from Europe, the East Coast, & West Coast gathering to share performance installation, works in progress, and completed works by emerging, mid-career, and well established artists. We've set an intention of shifting the paradigm of how artists organize to nurture artistic growth in safe and supportive environments, build cross-cultural international community, increase performing opportunities for creatives at all phases of artistic development, and to have a rip roarin' fun time throughout all phases of the process. Each ADaPT Festival has a personality and life of its own with one thing in common the festivals are MORE than an opportunity to share creative work in traditional performance venues. They include opportunity to network and connect with other artists building bridges of new opportunity; there is always a master class component; a component devoted to experimental work, and time for the artists to get to know each other while sharing meals together. The Center for Performance Research leg of the journey is hosted by New York Art Barkers Joanna Nobbe and Trina Mannino and features the work of artists new to the series as well as those who have an affinity for each other and have been deepening their artist relationships over through the ADaPT Fest series and its affiliated Affinity Project over the past three years.
