Everyone has heard the term "Good to Great" at some time during their career. What exactly does it mean? Sometimes, it's used by company and organization leaders to motive people, as a standard for making business decisions, or even as a stick to call people to task. How leaders use, or mis-use, this phrase is the topic of our upcoming meeting. If you've participated in our chapter project of reading Good to Great by Jim Collins, you will be well prepared (and you may have earned 12 hours of CPE). If you haven't read it, come join us and bring your interpretation of "Good to Great" in the workplace! Cary Campen has worked in finance and accounting roles such as Financial Analyst, Controller, and CFO for several medium-sized retail, manufacturing, and distribution companies. He has also been a business consultant through Global Partners, Inc. out of Boston. Locally, he has taught "Finance and Accounting for Non-Accountants" as an adjunct professor. He has an MBA in Finance and Operational Strategy from Brigham Young University. Mr. Campen is an engaging speaker and facilitator who enjoys sharing the fact and the fiction around topics such as "Good to Great." Cary typically includes EVERYONE in his presentations, so prepare to share your thoughts, experiences, struggles, and successes around this topic.
