18 Reasons Tuesday, May 14th, 7-9PM, Ticketed Beer Lab: Homebrew & Beyond $50 for 18 Reasons members; $60 for the general public
Learn how to brew beer at home! While craft beer has brought us a wide range of high-quality beers in the last two decades, there's still plenty of unexplored territory: that's where homebrewing comes in. Learn the basics of brewing at home with this hands-on workshop focusing on brewing 5-gallon partial mash batches of homebrew that we will make together as a class.
You will learn the beginning steps of brewing - using one of Eric's recipes. We will also bottle a previously made batch so that you can see the end process as well. There will also be a food pairing, since beer can really shine when we put it with the right bites.
Meet the instructor: Eric Denman has been brewing for 10 years...he started with a 2 gallon "Mr. Beer" kit in college and has steadily improved his brewing setup to his current 10 gallon, all-grain setup. He enjoys crafting new recipes and pushing existing style guidelines to create interesting and delicious brews. He occasionally uses his homebrew to fuel the pairings of his beer dinner group: Mission Gastroclub.
