Di Froyen
This adaptation of Naomi Ragen's play "The Women's Minyan" has been undertaken by two women who come from these closed worlds and have first-hand knowledge of the injustices perpetrated by their communities and the courts. They have translated the play into the vernacular of the modern day Yiddish speakers in their communities, the Yiddish they grew up with from the cradle.
Of the ten women performing the reading, eight are fluent Yiddish speakers. This is a unique and timely theatrical endeavor that should not be missed.
