Steampunk Soirée
Wintery January evenings are best enjoyed with warm elegance, amiable company, a good nosh, and turns around the dance floor. Learn a new dance. Revel in Victorian aesthetics interlaced with goggles and gears, and brass and lace. Enjoy a variety of punches and ices, biscuits, cakes, and perhaps a blancmange.
Steampunk Soirée will be hosted in the lovely Historic confines of The Molkery, the Montclair Civic Center. Built in 1888, The Molkery was part of Baron Von Richtofens elaborate Denver estate, and intended as a health spa for suffers of tuberculosis. The Molkery features a lovely wooden floor just perfect for dancing, and a wrap-around veranda complete with grand staircase from which one may observe the surrounding park.
Steampunk, Neo-Victorian, and Victorian attire are always admired, but not required. Should you opt for more modern dress, please consider black tie or formal-wear.
