PANACHE
This unpredictable, charmingly comic story seems to start out simply: Kathleen wants a license plate with the word "Panache" on it - but Harry has it. Nothing is as simple as it seems, however, and what begins as a ridiculous squabble over the seemingly unimportant turns into a desperate quest to salvage two lives. Kathleen appears one day at the Brooklyn apartment inhabited by Harry Baldwina frustrated artist who has had an unfortunate tragedy in his life that has left him unable to do anything but booze and gamble. As it happens, Kathleen just found out that Harry has the license plate, with the word PANACHE, which she had ordered from the DMV. She had received P-A-N-C-A-K-E in error, and now she's willing to pay any price to get P-A-N-A-C-H-E from Harry. This is a complex, yet simple story about love and loss and moving ontold in a clever manner by Playwright Don Gordon, and directed by Jan Neal. This show contains some language that may not be sutiable for all ages.
