Active Solar Design for Building Professionals
Active solar systems should be part of every environmentally considered building. Architects, designers, contractors, building owners and policy makers all need to know the latest developments in the field. In this session Gary Gerber will present the current status of both solar thermal and photovoltaic system design and implementation, including:
- State of the art technology
- Design guidelines
- Costs, including current and future rebates
- Current and forthcoming legislation
- Alternative systems
Gary Gerber is a leading expert in solar systems, with over 35 years of experience. He founded Sun Light & Power in 1976, and has been providing thermal solar and photovoltaic systems for residential, commercial, institutional and utility projects throughout California. Gary is also President of the California Solar Energy Industries Association. In addition, SL&P was one of California's first B (public benefit) corporations.
