Before coming to the US to study at Berklee, Rina had the honor of studying with Japanese jazz greats Makoto Ozone and Sadao Watanabe in Tokyo. Earlier this year, she recorded her debut as a leader, toured Japan, played in Switzerland, and made her New York debut. Just last month, she was awarded 2nd place in the Ellis Marsalis International Piano Competition.

This concert takes place at ARTSpace, a pop-up gallery and intimate performance space that's the brainchild of arts-lover and community-minded entrepreneur Luisa Harris. It's a quick 5 min walk from either Roxbury Crossing on the Orange Line or Brigham Circle on the Green E Line. Street parking also available.
