Benchmark Theatre Presents Uncanny Valley by Thomas Gibbons
In the not-so-distant future, a neuroscientist pushes the convergence of artificial intelligence and advanced robotics, teaching androids how to become more human. But she finds the student/teacher lines becoming blurred with her latest subject, uncovering long-unhealed emotional wounds as well as the true purpose behind the project. Uncanny Valley explores the painful divide between creator and creation, the inherent unpredictability of consciousness, and how we are redefining what it means to be human.
