Arsenic and Old Lace
Reading Community Players is pleased to announce that its production of Arsenic and Old Lace, directed by Bruce McLean will open on Friday, April 19 and run through Sunday, April 28.
American playwright Joseph Kesserling wrote this farcical black comedy in 1939. At the center of the action is the drama critic, Mortimer Brewster. Swirling about him are crazy, in some cases homicidal, members of his family. Two spinster aunts experiment with poison, a mad Uncle believes he's digging the Panama Canal in the family's cellar and Mortimer"s gangster brother turns up with mayhem on his mind. What fun!!
Shows on Friday and Saturday will begin at 8PM, while Sunday matinees will begin at 3PM.
