Join us in a risky adventure with a mashup that waivers between rhythmic elemental Czech melodies of Martinu, the precise clarity of Frenchwoman composer Germaine Tailleferre and culminates with richly colored musical voices of three living Americans, Joan Tower, Kevin Puts and Ron Strauss.

Experience woodwinds and piano in a wave of sonic delight with Rieggers rare, Sextet, Jennifer Higdons fluid  Legacy, a premiere of John Steinmetzs gem  Whats Going On and Beethovens masterpiece Quintet for Piano and Winds.

A sunny new direction is upon us as exciting vocalist James Onstad conspires with pianist Nathan Salazar in varied selections by Puccini, Boulanger, Hahn, Gounod, Aaron Jay Kernis, John Corigliano, Gabriel Kahanes breakout work  Craigslistlieder and timely contemporary sounds of Tom Cipullo. The pristine 1979 classic Snow Country for oboe and strings by American composer John Harbison sets the stage for Alexandra du Bois poignant, tightly woven 2005 quartet Night Songs and closes with Dvoraks refreshing String Quintet , opus 77 that features the double bass.

Sunday May 5th, 3pm - Red Tango
Rachmaninovs heavenly Piano Trio No. 1 opens the door to the inner world of Siberian minimalist composer Pavel Karmanovs  trio Birthday Present to Myself and frames Carter Breys Tango para Ilaria for solo cello.  The smoldering follow up twists into Russian Tangos by Stravinsky and Jacob Gade, finishing with searing milongas by Alfred Schnittke and Astor Piazzolla.
