Anderson Island Film Festival
The first annual Anderson Island Film Festival will be held September 15, 2018 at the Anderson Historical Society Archival Building. Tickets for each film at the festival will be $7, except for Plastic is Forever, which will be shown free of charge.
Our Mission
Enrich, Engage, Inspire and Enlighten our Island community with first-class films.
Cultivate and promote the arts through education and cultural understanding.
Provide a forum to stimulate interest in the study and appreciation of cinema as one aspect of the arts that inspires creativity and innovation for emerging and seasoned artists of all ages and backgrounds.
We will be showing 5 documentaries the first shown at 10 am and the last at 7 pm. "Plastic is Forever" will be shown at no charge at 3 pm.
The Anderson Island Film Festival is associated with Island Arts, a 501(c)(3) charitable, non-profit organization.
Film Festival Gala
In keeping with the tradition of film festivals, the event will kick off with a gala on Friday Sept. 14, featuring live music, good food, tasty wine and a rare island chance to get dressy.
Tickets for the gala are $50, with proceeds supporting both this years festival and helping launch next years. Buy your ticket now, there are a limited number of tickets available and may not be available at the door.
