ROCKY LA PORTE makes his Contra Costa County debut at the Campbell Theatre during a brief Bay Area Tour.
Known for his self-deprecating dry wit, the Chicago resident drew national attention when he was a finalist in NBC's Last Comic Standing in 2014.
Previously, Rocky won the Stand-Up Comic of the Year Award at the Las Vegas Comedy Festival and also took home first place in the Johnnie Walker National Comedy Search in Hollywood.
Rocky's appeared in two Tim Allen films, "Crazy On the Outside" and "The Shaggy Dog" and was a guest in an episode of "Cheers."
A familiar face returns to the Campbell Theater when Bay Area legend JOHNNY STEELE takes the stage, opening for Rocky LaPorte.
The Pittsburg native has been a professional stand-up 35 years, having joined the ranks as winners of the San Francisco International Stand-Up Comedy Competition in 1992.
Acclaimed for his improvising, Johnny is one of the participants in Will Durst's "End of the Year Comedy Kiss-Off" for 25 years.
Perhaps Northern California's funniest vegan, Johnny is an accomplished comedy writer, having worked with the late Robin Williams.
