"Louis Apollon has an angelic, magical quality to his voice. Its the kind of voice that makes you just want to relax, sit and listen forever. Hearing him sing is a healing. Ive been in the music biz for a long time and I am convinced that Louis has a really special gift that will one day carry him to stardom. If you havent heard him, I urge you to run, dont walk, to see him and buy his recordings so that one day you can say that you were a fan before he became a star. ~ Janice Pendarvis - Singer, College Professor, Activist
Louis Apollon is a Boston-based Jazz-Folk Singer-Songwriter (now off to NYC) whose stories celebrate human imperfection, combining uplifting musicality with a soothing, yet energizing vibe that represents his own infectious positivity. Born and raised in the suburbs of New York City by parents of Haitian decent, he was exposed to many musical cultures from very young age. Music had always been something that sparked curiosity for him. From learning his way around his first instrument, the clarinet, to trying to imitate sounds coming from the radio, to breaking his fathers old record player trying to scratch old records. It was not uncommon to hear sounds from around the world on a daily basis, and those sounds influenced the music he makes today.
GRANT BLOOM When you witness Grant perform, don't expect the norm of your average singer/songwriter. Challenging the standards of musicianship and boundaries of genre, Grant creates a performance unlike any other. Grant Blooms sound is one of a kind, his passion for music and performance leaves the audience intrigued, and longing for more.
FLORIE NAMIR Tel Aviv born jazz-pop artist Florie Namir, is a sensitive soul who finds comfort and empowerment in anything music, from writing symphonic works to fronting a rock-soul band. She followed her passion across the world to the U.S. to earn a PhD in classical composition. After exclusively wearing a classical hat, Florie took part in a variety of projects as a performer, like Israeli art song, Russian opera, and jazz standards. These experiences and travels along with personal heartbreaks nurtured an output of autobiographical songwriting, launching Florie's career as solo singer-songwriter.
"elegance, style and grace and a jazz club ambiance earmark Florie's performance style." (Rudy Barajas, MMAS).
ALEC HUTSON After a year in the studio, the Alec Hutson Trio has finally unveiled its debut album, Thunder and Lightning. A potent mixture of rock, soul, and folk, their music is set to entrance your mind and move your feet. Front man and songwriter Alec Hutson, a Boston native and child of Soviet immigrants, brings captivating indie-folk melodies and lyrics that are intricate while staying authentic and accessible. The rest of the trio, coming from a soul-funk background, help to transform the final product into a distinctly unique sound that virtually anyone can get down to.
