Hoping for Real: a songwriter's telling of "The Velveteen Rabbit"
This is a cd release/preview theatrical concert exploring the very grown up ideas found in Margery Williams' beloved children's book, and showcases the music of Hope Newman Kemp on piano and vocals, accompanied by her 6 piece acoustic band: John Fraser (double bass), Ben Hardesty (precussion), David Kemp (guitar), Amos Housworth (cello), Matthew Davidson (violin), Andre Benfante (organ). The book will be read by Kevin Jordan and Katherine Holmes.
