Table to Farm Summer Dinner
Your evening starts with a short drive through the scenic Snoqualmie Valley to SnoValley Tilth's small farm incubator program, the Experience Farming Project. (It's just 45 minutes from Seattle, or 15 minutes from Redmond.) You are greeted with a welcome glass of local wine and delicious appetizers. Sipping, you walk the rows of the farm to see your meal's ingredients flourishing in their native habitat. After the farm tour and conversation with the farmers, you will settle into your seat at your family-style table in the field. The meal experience will entail four delectable courses, artfully prepared by master Chef Adam Stevenson of Copperleaf Restaurant with local, sustainably produced ingredients. Each course will be paired with a fine Washington wine poured by the winemaker at Convergence Zone Cellars in North Bend. We'll finish the evening with coffee from Anchorhead Roasters.
SnoValley Tilth's vision is of more farmers on more farmland, growing more sustainable food for our community. Our programs include a small farm incubator, public and farmer education, farm-positive public policy work, and the Carnation Farmers Market. What better way to support those initiatives than to eat a delicious meal right on the farm, where most of the meal ingredients will be grown mere feet from the table! All proceeds from our summer farm dinners benefit SVT's efforts promoting local, sustainable farming. By connecting local food-eaters and local food-producers we are creating a community where everyone can thrive. Find more information about SnoValley Tilth at www.snovalleytilth.org.
