Saratoga Orchestra and Pacific Northwest Conducting Institute Summer Concert
Saratoga Orchestra of Whidbey Island, in partnership with the Pacific Northwest Conducting Institute, presents the second annual Summer Festival Concert under the leadership of Artistic Director, Dr. Anna Edwards.
Saturday, August 4, 2pm South Whidbey High School Auditorium 5675 Maxwelton Rd., Langley A pre-concert chat with the conductors begins at 1:15pm
Orchestra conductors from around the world will be in residence on Whidbey Island to participate in the six-day PNWCI 2018 workshop, refining and learning conducting techniques from internationally acclaimed conductor and teacher, Diane Wittry.
The workshops culmination will feature the PNWCI's 2018 Conducting Fellows leading the orchestra in a program to include: Johannes Brahms - Symphony No. 2, Op. 73 Felix Mendelssohn - Violin Concerto, Op. 64 with Maria Larionoff, soloist Fanny Mendelssohn - Overture in C Manuel de Falla - Suite No. 1 "Three Cornered Hat"
