History Research Paranormal Investigation with D'Agostino & Nicholson - 10/19; 9:20 P.M. ENTRY
As part of Pawtucket's MILL CITY HAUNTS programming, Old Slater Mill presents an opportunity to observe/participate for 60 minutes in a history research paranormal investigation led by renowned authors and paranormalists Thomas D'Agostino and Arlene Nicholson.
Old Slater Mill in Pawtucket, Rhode Island dates from 1793. The mill was constructed, and the business established, by the English immigrant Samuel Slater and partners Moses Brown, Obadiah Brown, and William Almy.
As the first successful cotton spinning factory in America, Old Slater Mill It is widely recognized as the birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution.
It is also noted for its reputation for the paranormal.
Given its very early appearance on the industrial landscape, the mill originally operated at a time when child labor was considered acceptable, and labor laws that protected worker health and welfare were nonexistent.
D'Agostino and Nicholson will employ videography, EVP recorders, dowsing rods, and Tarot cards, in their 3-hour investigation of the site, including the 1758 Sylvanus Brown House, the 1793 Old Slater Mill, and the 1810 Wilkinson Mill and waterwheel bay.
Participants will spend 60 MINUTES with the investigators, divided into 20-minute segments in each of the three buildings.
Maximum group size is 10 participants for each entry time of 8:00, 8:20, 9:00, 9:20, or 10:00 p.m., on October 19, 20, 26 and 27, 2018.
