War and Peace
CMSCVA artists perform two epic musical masterpieces side-by-side, the Piano Trio in E minor by Dimitri Shostakovich, and Olivier Messiaen's "Quartet for the End of Time". Written during World War II, both pieces have transcended their time and place to become profound statements on tragedy and the hope that rises from it.
A pre-concert talk with begin at 3:30 pm.
