Dead Man's Cell Phone produced by Dumas Theatre at West of Lenin
This 2006 winner of the Helen Hayes award for Outstanding New Play, Sarah Ruhl's Dead Man's Cell Phone has only gotten more relevant as time has gone on and cell phones have become even more prevalent in everyday lives. Fortunately, Ruhl also has plenty of wit and humor to make this play more enjoyable than simply an allegory about modern times. Jean's curiosity leads her on a hilarious and poignant journey meeting a dead man's family, falling in love, and exploring how people know each other differently based on how they communicate.
