This inspirational documentary tells the story of lifelong horseman Ernst Oertel. After a fall in a routine training accident, he experiences complications in the healing process and is then faced with the stark reality that his left leg must be amputated. This powerful film shares his struggles, both physical and emotional and his passion and determination to return to his life with horses. Ernst is an inspiration to all, especially the horse community who understand how almost unfathomable his return to riding is and this documentary film shares his unwavering drive and success in returning to his exciting life in horse racing in the UAE where he trains and lives. The bond between horse and human is a powerful and healing energy and this is a journey that must be shared.
