Say It Like It Is is a story about two friends, Dylan and Brooke, reuniting after some time spent apart. What our protagonist Dylan quickly learns is that although their friendship has been maintained, the reality of Brooke's life has not been made obvious until Dylan visits her for the weekend. What has initially been thought of as a relaxing trip to the suburbs quickly becomes more than that, when their opinions about each other's lives and decisions about the futures are revealed.
