SUMMER GARDEN PARTY & CONCERT Carrie Tree, Dirk Campbell
Hello! We're going to have a lovely garden party and concert. We'd love you to come..
The garden has lovely spaces and views, trees to find shade, & warm sunny spots. Expect fairy lights, bats in the evening, stars and who knows.
Bring blankets, cushions, folding garden chairs. And a picnic and warm clothing if you're going through into the evening.
Our gate is open from 2pm. Our stage is open from 3pm for open mike-sters... At 4pm we'll have a performance of "How The Vote Was Won" a suffragette play by Sunrise Theatre Company. (home educated young women)
Between then and 8 we'll have more lovely acts,( tbc)
At 8 we'll have our two wonderful headlining musicians
Bring your own favourite tipple if you fancy a drink. Well provide teas, juices and some nibbles and treats. There'll be a simple bar with options galore, and some food. This is a family low alcohol do. Alcohol is welcome, but in gentle moderation please.

DIRK CAMPBELL - A specialist in ethnic instruments and a master of awakening our heart strings with these ancient sounds. Dirk plays mystical instruments like duduk, ney and bansuri. We are so happy he will be sharing his music with us! More about his work https://www.dirkcampbell.co.uk/
CARRIE TREE - A local troubadour songstress. Gathering songs from different lands, from lessons learnt, from forgetting back to remembering, Carrie invites us to relax and soften into the spaces inbetween. More about her work at http://carrietree.co.uk/

All Afternoon and Evening,............... OR... Evening Only: Adults: £8 in advance (with booking fee), £10 on the gate (Cards taken on gate, but cash easier!) Children under 5: Free Children 5-17: £3 advance or on gate. (Cards taken on gate, but cash easier!)
NB: We're asking peeps that are near our stage to respect all the performers and listen . There'll be other spaces to go and be chatty.
If YOU would like to perform something between 2 and 8... let me know! Keep it family friendly 2-6 please. Sliiiightly more edge perhaps 6-8
There is limited space so really advisable to book
Carrie will have just completed a trans-Euro gigging jaunt on top of her recent trip to Iceland to record her new album. Money from this concert might go towards this album being completed
WHEREABOUTS?: SatNav will take you up a side road off Kingston road, called Milldown Springfield isn't up there, but is 50m further south n K Road.
PARKING - We are 100m south of Stanley Turner Rugby Fields. Best if You can park in there. There's another small layby 50 m south of us, for a few cars.
Probably NOT on Grass verge between Milldown and our place NOT on the cycle path opposite the house. NOT up Milldown, as you'll incur the sadness of the police or the neighbours.
