Wagner Takes the "A" Train
On Saturday evening, June 30th, the Musicians of the San Francisco Opera Orchestra will host a companion piece to Wagner's Ring Cycle with very special guest, jazz composer and pianist Dr. Valerie Capers. This unique performance features Dr. Capers on the piano with her musical collaborator, bassist John Robinson III, along with members of the San Francisco Opera Orchestra. Dr. Capers will also share her reflections on Wagner and the influence of his mighty Ring Cycle has had on her jazz composition. Wagner Takes the "A" Train is a meeting of musical styles guaranteed to please both opera devotees and jazz lovers. Don't miss it! (Seating is limited.)
