Cheah Chan Duo presents "Broad Stripes and Bright Stars"
Cheah Chan Duo closes its 9th season with "Broad Stripes and Bright Stars", an all-American program of songs from the past quarter century. The recital will take place on Tuesday, July 10, 8:00pm at the Chapel of St. Bartholomew's Church in midtown Manhattan.
Featuring the New York première of Trevor Weston's haunting "I Walk", Jessica Meyer exquisite "Seasons of Basho", Andrea Clearfield's delightful "Amok" (from her cantata "The Golem Psalms"), a mesmerizing setting of Sonnet 43 by Rufus Wainwright, and other works by John Luther Adams, Gabriel Kahane, Lori Laitman, Stephen Lias, Frank J. Oteri, Rosephanye Dunn Powell, Ben Schuman, and Dennis Tobenski.
