Critically acclaimed Dance Drama in the Rubans Rouges Dance repertoire: RED RIBBONS™ Choreographed by Noelle Rose Andressen about her dramatic triumph over sexual child molestation. Additionally the company brings a piece honoring the women who have stood up and stood strong in the past year titled after the show: "The Empowered Woman - DanceWarrior®"; "art of brokenness"; will also be danced displaying the artistry of how one can be broken down in the utopian vs. dystopian society. "ROSEWOOD" depicts the true life story of Ms. Andressen's triumph over breast cancer in a cancer clinic as 3 women share 1 dream: To live. Dances performed by: Noelle Rose Andressen, Kale Andressen, Carol Butler, Albertossy Espinoza, Dalar Ghambari, Kelsey Morgaine, Talin Ohannessian, Courtney Tyler.
Under Noelle Rose Andressen Dance, an Elite Extension of Rubans Rouges Dance, "Coeur de Verre" will proudly make its second NYC showing. This passionate piece teaches how to trust again after being betrayed. It has blind landings (this takes on a new meaning and celebration since it is performed by a female dancer legally blind with early on-set glaucoma), risk taking lifts and catches including the "T Split" which has become a trademark move of the company. It's performed by the dynamic duo of Andressen and Espinoza.
Harper Continuum Dance Theatre HCDT will be performing GO! Its a piece reflecting the warriors women are: Strength, Drive, Fearlessness, and Fighters. Its an extremely athletic piece. GO! (To clarify: Yes, we were planning to do a separate pre-show Gala, some already had this information including producers, publicists, etc. This Gala would have contained the presentation of our annual "Awakening Award™" honoring female artists in their given field; the presentation of the "Fore-Mothers & Fathers of Modern Dance Awakening Award™"; women who've stood up and spoken up; and the women in the Cosby trial. All these elements that was to be held in a separate Gala has now been merged into the Main Stage Performance. We apologize for any confusion and/or inconvenience this may have caused.)
