Deborah Stone: "Siren Song"
To cast their Siren spell, Deborah and musical director, Daryl Kojak, weave together a magical blend of songs and styles from such composers and lyricists as Cy Coleman, Cole Porter, Lerner & Loewe, Kurt Weill, Stephen Sondheim, Georges Bizet and Sting. The show is sensitively and intelligently directed by Ann McCormack. It's a truly enchanting and entertaining evening!
A native New Yorker, Deborah has been a dancer, actor and singer, both in Broadway musicals and as a show girl in New York and Dallas. She is thrilled to be on this new journey of Cabaret Performance. Deborah has performed her shows at The Metropolitan Room, The Triad and The Laurie Beechman Theater in the Richard Skipper Celebrates series, the Cabaret Cares series at The Metropolitan Room, in Bobbie Horowitz's Its Only a Number series at The Metropolitan Room, as a benefit for the Episcopal Actors Guild, and at Don't Tell Mama.
"If I had to describe her in one word, it would be 'chanteuse'.... " - Ron Forman, Cabaret Scenes Magazine
"An elegantly accessible diva of great charm and captivating sweetness....[Deborah Stone] imbues the lyric with its own authority...." Marilyn Lester, Nite Life Exchange
