Plein Air in Watercolor
Fridays, July 13-Aug. 31 9 a.m -12 p.m.
Artist Robert Sherrill leads an eight-week class in plein air landscape painting, with sessions held outdoors amidst the inspiring scenery of the gardens.
Class is held in various locations throughout the grounds. Check-in with Education Staff at the fountain near Admissions at 8:45 am.
Below is a suggested supply list: Watercolors paint: (Windsor Newton or Holbein are excellent) Ultramarine Blue Cerulean Blue Cadmium Red Medium Magenta Cadmium Yellow Pale Lemon Yellow Optional: Any other colors are fine
Paper: Watercolor paper, sheets or a Block. (Arches 140lb, cold press) around 9x12" Watercolor palette, any you like. Holbein is good.
Brushes: Sable or imitation sable brushes: 1 inch flat, #8round, #3 round
