Forget the Long Drive, We Are Bringing Wine Country to Seattle!
The Walla Walla Valley Wine Region is coming to Seattle for a Monday, March 11th event at McCaw Hall public tasting event.  We love the wines from there and asked them if some of the wineries wanted to do a dinner with us at the VUDE.  They said YES! So, for the first time, we have a BUNCH of wineries and their winemakers and an equally full set of delicious food pairings! This is one you will need to come very hungry and very thirsty for!

So get your tickets today and join Walla Walla's Castillo de Feliciana Vineyard, DaMa Wines, Kontos Cellars, Trio Vintners, Oregon's Echo Ridge, and Argentina's Hand of God for a perfectly paired multi-course meal. You are sure to become the envy of every wine and food lover you know.

CHEFS: (One more to be announced)

Danilo Amato:  Italian born Chef Danilo Amato's cuisine is inspired by the hills of Tuscany and the bounty of the Pacific Northwest. Owner of Amato Catering, Danilo is committed to using seasonal, organic ingredients from local farmers and producers whenever possible, and always offers gluten-free and dairy-free and vegetarian options.

Details of collaborators for this extravaganza:

Santiago Achával of Achaval Ferrer and Jon Staenberg are co-founders of Hand of God, which recently launched its inaugural wines in North America. Santiago, winemaker for Hand of God, fell in love with wines and winemaking during frequent visits to Napa Valley while receiving his MBA from Stanford. Achaval-Ferrer boasts four of the five highest rated wines from Argentina (two 99's and three 98's), as awarded by Wine Spectator and holds numerous 90+ points from Wine Advocate. He has been dubbed 'the master of Malbec' by Wine Spectator.

Castillo de Feliciana Vineyard & Winery brings you Spanish-style wine from the Walla Walla Valley. A true family affair, Kara, Sam, Deborah, and Christopher Castillo, have all answered the call, working together to making delicious, Washington grown, Spanish inspired wine.

Meaning 'lady' in Spanish, DaMa Wines is aptly named for its owners, Dawn Kammer and Mary Tuuri-Derby. From the beginning, Dawn and Mary set out to capture their colorful personalities and roller-coaster life experiences in wine creations that are distinctive but unpretentious ---a philosophy which has led to award winning, yet affordable wine.

Claiming property just outside the small town of Echo, Oregon, Echo Ridge is a new winery looking to make a big splash in the Northwest wine scene. Owners Kim and Jay have teamed up with winemaker Billo Naravane, and are on a mission to create some great wines, meant to be enjoyed by all.

Kontos Cellars focuses on ultra-premium Bordeaux varieties grown in the Walla Walla and Columbia Valleys.  Working closely with vineyards such as Pepper Bridge, Seven Hills, Les Collines, Boushey and Stone Tree, Kontos believes the beautiful fruit the fruit they work with is truly a cut above.

Since 2004, Trio Vintners has been proud to make great wines meant to accompany great food. Trio believes methodology should never get in the way of enjoying the wine you drink. The Winery credits its pride in being different for its success in creating wine you'll want to share with friends.
