Goose Island Tasting Matrix
join us as we taste thru 7 of goose island's beers with 7 cheese's we think pair well.
we will attempt to taste and score all 49 pairing combinations.
here are the beers for the pairing matrix:
Sofie: Belgian style farmhouse ale partially aged in wine barrels with orange zest.
Goose IPA: English-style IPA
Old Man Grumpy: Dry Hopped Pale Ale with tropical notes
Matilda: Belgian style pale ale with brettanomyces
Halia: wild saison aged in oak with white peaches
Gillian: wild saison aged in oak with strawberries, white pepper, honey and champagne yeast
Madame Rose: wild brown ale aged in oak with whole tart cherries, plus brettanomyces brux., brett. lambicus, pediococcus, lactobacillus, sherry yeast. Dang!
i am sure there will also be a beer or few on side pour.
