3rd Mondays - June 18 - 2018 - Foundation for New American Musicals
The Foundation for New American Musicals (FNAM) is dedicated to educating, mentoring and showcasing the next generations of creators of musicals for stage, screen and new media.

Musicals translate experiences across time and space to create a new understanding and empathy across cultures, ethnicities and generations.

Through their four major programs, they support composers, lyricists and book writers of all backgrounds from high school to college to graduate school and beyond.

During its history, FNAM has presented 260 shows and 1700 performances at 83 venues from Santa Barbara to San Diego for audiences totaling over 1.75 million people.

Valerie Perri: Valerie recently completed a sold-out run of THE GRADUATE with Melanie Griffith at the Laguna Playhouse. She was first thrust onstage after being chosen by Harold Prince to star in the title role of EVITA in the 1st Broadway National Company. She was also directed by Jerome Robbins for the Broadway National of JEROME ROBBINS' BROADWAY In Los Angeles, Valerie starred as Norma Desmond in SUNSET BLVD and Dolly Levi in HELLO DOLLY. Shes sung in concert at Disney Hall, Carnegie Hall and internationally throughout Europe.Television and film credits include Criminal Minds, ER, Another World, The Out of Towners, George of the Jungle, Dickie Roberts, and GREASE. Derek Carley Credits include FLASHDANCE (1st National Tour), FROM HERE TO ETERNITY (Ogunquit Playhouse), DADDY LONGS LEGS (TheatreWorks Silicon Valley) and GHOST (Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival). Tv/Film credits include NOTORIOUS (ABC) and the upcoming feature film THE BILLIONAIRE. He is a proud graduate of The University of Michigan where he earned his BFA in Musical Theatre. This evening marks Derek's 3RD MONDAYS debut!

Cornelius Jones Jr.: Cornelius was most recently seen as Kenny Franks in the Garry Marshall Theater's production of LAUGHTER ON THE 23rd FLOOR. Theater highlights: The Lion King (Broadway, National Tour, & Vegas), Thou Shalt Not (Broadway), A Chorus Line (The Hollywood Bowl), Smokey Joes Cafe (US Tour). Regional: Sister Act (San Diego Theater Critic Nominee), The Little Mermaid, Shrek. Television: FOXs "A Christmas Story Live," SWAT, Criminal Minds, Law & Order: SVU.
