THE CANADIAN BRASS
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS SHOW IS ON A FRIDAY NIGHT. Long considered the "Gold Standard" of brass ensembles today, THE CANADIAN BRASS has truly earned the distinction of the world's most famous brass group.
Formed in 1970, the group's imagination, consummate musicianship, and use of humor has elevated the art of the brass quintet to what it is today. With over 130 albums, their music ranges from Baroque to Dixieland, including patriotic music, like their rousing recording of patriotic songs and marches, "Stars & Stripes: Canadian Brass Salute America."
Touring legends with an enthusiastic fan base, they have toured through the US, Canada, Japan and Europe as well as South America, the Middle East, Russia, and Australia. They were the first brass ensemble to perform in the People's Republic of China and the first brass ensemble to take the main stage at Carnegie Hall. The Canadian Brass has appeared on the "Tonight Show," "The Today Show," and "Entertainment Tonight," and in numerous PBS shows. They have also been guest artists on Evening at Pops with John Williams and the Boston Pops.
The Canadian Brass perform on 24 karat gold-plated Canadian Brass Collection instruments. We are thrilled to present this world-renowned ensemble.
