Hands-On Rain Gardens Workshop
Want to learn by doing? If you like to get your hands dirty, join the Watershed Stewards and Clark County to build a rain garden at Planet Clark's Habitat for Humanity House. Rain gardens are shallow depressions in your yard that collect and filter rainwater. They are a beautiful, easy way for all of us to take care of our streams and rivers and the plants and animals that rely on them. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about designing, building, and maintaining rain gardens.
The session will be organized by the Watershed Stewards, which is co-sponsored by Washington State University Clark County Extension and Clark County Environmental Services Clean Water Program.
