Children's concert by Barry Louis Polisar
Barry Louis Polisar has been writing books, songs and poems for children since 1975. He is a five time winner of the Prents' Choice Award, has written songs for Sesame Street and The Weekly Reader, in 2008 received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Children's Music Web, the 2010 Parents' Choice ward, a NAPPA Gold Award in 2012, a Grammy in 2012 for Best Children's Recording and shared in the 2009 Grammy award for Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for a Motion Picture for hsi song "All I Want IS You" for the movie Juno. His children's TV show, Field Trip, has won two Emmy Awards, He has also received multiple awrds for his books and other recordings including a National Media Gold Award and an award from the Coalition on Quality Children's Media. He additionally does many school and library visits throughout the country and has performed at The White House, The Smithsonian and The Kennedy Center for the Performing ARts. He was given a Special Library Recogniton Award for his "ability to communicate with and excite children to read".
