Max presents "Constructing Successful D/S Scenes"
We've all witnessed a D/S scene where incredible energy and intention radiate from the individuals taking part in the intimacy. Where the emotional bonds are so deep, and the surrender to pleasure and pain is so palpable, you feel as though you're intruding on this intense private scene. It looks effortless, as though the scene has somehow miraculously just happened. But the truth is, a successful - and hot - scene really does take effort and thoughtfulness.
In this workshop, we'll provide you with the tools you need to create your own successful D/S scenes, building your skill sets and strengthening your communication skills and your self-confidence, while embarking on new D/S paths.
We'll start off analyzing the construction of a scene, breaking down the components, from consent and negotiations, through the meat of the scene, and finally the finish and the aftercare involved. We'll talk about stumbling blocks and potential problems. And we'll provide a road map for how to construct a scene, and still stay in the scene', making it fun, and being aware of each participant's responsibilities.
We'll focus on the importance of communication, compare verbal vs. non-verbal communication in scenes, and review sample scripts of negotiation and consent discussions.
And we'll talk about scene dynamics, the variety of scenes you can explore, and why we do it at all: because D/S scenes are hot, they're authentic, they're intense - and they're fun!
This workshop will be filled with demos, lecture, exercises, and lots of time for discussion and Q&A. As with all of Max's workshops, a handout will be provided to facilitate your learning and retention.
This workshop assumes no previous BDSM experience, and is appropriate for all genders, all orientations, and for both tops and bottoms.

Max has been active in Seattle's kink community since 1992 and has been teaching bondage, BDSM, and polyamory workshops since 1999.
While he is proficient with a wide range of BDSM skills, Max especially enjoys the intimacy of rope bondage and the intensity of the singletail. Max projects a gentle, dominant energy, and all of his relationships - and most of his scenes - include a substantial d/s component.
