Tonight two stellar singer-songwriters and performers grace the carpets of the Lizard Lounge - Jill McCracken and her band bring classic pop and soul while New Your City's Phantom Vanity draws from funk, folk, and soul.

Jill McCracken is an indie songstress that thrives on classic pop and soul. Her catalog of original songs over the past 10 years have evolved from an indie rock upbringing to a soulful pop sound that draws inspiration from Lake Street Dive, Amy Winehouse, Aretha Franklin, Paul Simon, and of course, The Beatles. Constantly voicing tales of misadventures and love of all kinds, Jill's performance is intimate, sincere, and unrelenting. She'll be joined by her band-- Kevin Ewer (drums), Jim Horvath (guitar), and Brendan Duran (bass).
Phantom Vanity
With inspirations from funk, folk, and soul, this Brooklyn powerhouse is about bringing truth, and inspiring dance within listeners. Vintage Slacker EP is composed of 8 tracks that uniquely speak about the trials and growth that humans endure on this small planet. I want to be able to sing about how we travel through all these self-inflicted barriers that make us afraid, lonely, spiteful. How we mature and become comfortable and fair to ourselves, how we learn to love ourselves and love others, she said. I want to sing songs that are empowering, says Boyd.
