The amazing Three-o is our favorite: they can play anything the highly unconventional nine-piece Dixieland/avant-jazz/pop Philharmonic can play, and then some. The focus is tighter, and the songwriting, which has always been at the heart of Chandlers bands, gets center stage in a way that is not possible with the riotous pageantry of the full Philharmonic.

Kami Lyle is an American singer/songwriter from Minneapolis, now living in Cape Cod, Massachusetts with her husband and musician, Joey Spampinato.

Theres worse things in the world than the new Chandler Travis Three-O album, but I assume it would might be indelicate to list them here (which is kind of too bad, as it would make an intriguing bundle.)

The Three-O is headed to the Lizard Lounge in Cambridge this Thursday w. new member Kami Lyle to prove the point, and possibly even make the case that said new release is even gasp! dare I say it? borderline worthwhile! We dont mean to get cocky, but we strongly insist well, sort of strongly that the new album, "Backward Crooked From the Sunset", beats a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. So bring your eyes (and ears) down to the Lizard this Thursday, June 7th, at 8:30pm, and we'll provide the sharp sticks! (And who could resist such an enticing invitation?)

(By the way, sorry about the lack of advance notice, but we just got the gig yesterday; don't usually bother you Boston-area folks much in the summer months, as we're always working like crazy on the cape of Cod then, but seeing as the album just came out last week, it seemed like destiny!)
