Iron Cross, Strongarm and the Bullies, D.E.A. & Sociopathetic
IRON CROSS STRONGARM & the BULLIES D.E.A. SOCIOPATHETIC $10 DOORS: 8 PM / SHOW: 9 PM
IRON CROSS: We are Iron Cross. We started playing this stuff back in 1980 in Washington DC. Some of us were Skinheads. We liked it. Some people said we were America's first Oi! band. We didnt pay any attention. A lot of people had a lot of things to say about us. Most of them were full of shit and still are full of shit. (you know who you are!) We didnt care then and we dont care now. We played the music we wanted to, we drank too much, we got in fights with just about everybody, we didnt want to save the world, we wanted to get laid! And somewhere along the line WE wrote the songs YOU still listen to. We are still playing because its fun. Simple as that!
STRONGARM & the BULLIES: The History: Marooned on the Japanese island of Okinawa in 1998, three wayward rockers developed a bond through music and alcohol-fueled mischief. Rescued one at a time, and eventually shipwrecked again in various parts of the U.S., each individual would eventually traverse many a land mile and endure many a hardship to reunite in sunny Southern California to form what is now known as Strongarm and the Bullies. Early in the year 2002, after a few months of song writing and beer drinking, they began to perform their unique brand of heavily blues-influenced street rock and roll. The history continues to be written as the, now five-member, gang spreads their gospel far and wide. ~ The Life: Strongarm and the Bullies has consistently played shows in Southern California since early 2002, with several Southwest tours through California, Arizona and Nevada. They recorded and distributed a self-released five-song CD/EP in 2002, are featured on a Loud Fast Rules (magazine) compilation and the Backstreets of American Oi!, vol. 2, comp. In 2005, Strongarm and the Bullies signed on with Rebellion Records Holland to release their long-awaited and highly anticipated full-length CD "You Had It Coming", and had the lead track on Rebellion's tribute to Johnny Cash compilation covering "Don't Take Your Guns to Town." ~ Performances with Templars, Street Dogs, The Business, Aggrolites, The Briggs, Funeral Dress, Beerzone, Roger Miret and the Disasters, Hudson Falcons, Pressure Point, Fatskins, Iron Cross, The Agitators, The Briefs, Reducers SF, The Generators, Whiskey Rebels, US Roughnecks, The Voids, Resilience, Angel City Outcasts, Rat City Riot, Born To Lose, Flatfoot 56, The Boils and many more.
