The Wooly presents Kids Create! at The Depot Event Space (June)
We are super excited to present art classes for local children led by local art enthusiasts.
The goal of this monthly series is to foster the joy of creating and imagining through art and expression. We are hoping to inspire Gainesville children, who may one day bolster Gainesville's art scene as an adult.
The third class will be led by artist Salina Cardias (https://www.salinacardias.com/).
In the June edition of Kids Create!, we will explore the work of Helen Frankenthaler. Helen Frankenthaler was an abstract expressionist painter and created a style of painting called "soak-stain". Join us for Kids Create where we will be recreating Frankenthaler's style of painting using water-based paints! Participants will be asked to choose an emotion and create a painting based off of that emotion. In this class we will experiment with color mixing and alternative ways of creating artwork.
$5 cost will go toward materials.

Ages 6-10: 10:30-11:30am
