March 14, 2013, 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm 330 Park Blvd, Downtown San Diego The 492,495 square foot, nine-story, New Central Library located in downtown San Diego includes an outdoor plaza and café, 350-seat auditorium, three-story domed reading room, 400-seat multipurpose room, teen center, 10,244 square foot children's library, technology center, and two levels of underground parking. Two floors of the library totaling 76,000 square feet will be used for a charter school serving about 400 students. The New Central Library is seeking LEED Silver certification. Attendees arrive at about 3:00pm and are shown to the conference room where a brief presentation if needed is conducted. Only 20 attendees are allowed during these tours. Flat closed toe footwear is required and attendees will adhere to PPE requirements. Turner Construction representatives will fit attendees with the necessary PPE gear and then take the group out onto the site at about 3:30pm. The tour generally lasts about 45 mins or so and then the attendees are taken back to the conference room where they will turn in their gear and if there are any last minute questions this is where you can ask them.
