Presenters:
Michael J. Murtaugh received his undergraduate degree from the University of Cincinnati (BA, with honors, 1970) and his law degree from the UCLA School of Law (JD, 1973), where he represented the school in the National Moot Court competition and was elected to the Order of the Barristers. His practice focuses on the counseling and representation of design professionals, employment counseling and general civil litigation; and he has received Martindale Hubbells highest AV Preeminent rating for ethics and competence.
Helen Cicino Fabian earned BAs in both Journalism and Communications Arts and Sciences from the University of Southern California, and her law degree from Loyola Law School; and she has been counseling companies with every type of employment issue imaginable for over 20 years. Most recently, Ms. Fabian served as a Senior Vice President and General Counsel, running the legal department for one of Californias largest and most well-respected non-profit health care systems including 6 hospitals and over 12,000 employees with both a unionized and non-union workforce. She is a frequently published author and served as managing editor of a legal book series published by Entrepreneur Press, and she routinely lectures and provides employment law training to all levels of human resource professionals, working with the Institute for Applied Management and Law, the National Business Institute, and the California Employers Group.
