Muzik As a djs DJ, Jeannie Hopper is dedicated to spinning independent emerging artists from a tapestry of funky, soulful, and house music genres. 25 years ago she founded and continues to host Liquid Sound Lounge, NYCs longest running underground dance music radio show. As David Morales (Def Mix) once said about Jeannies set, "it's a breath of fresh air to hear someone truly spin from there heart.. And while Jeannies sets explore the up and coming side of the music scene, she is equally passionate about playing her remarkable archive of now-classics to the dancefloor. Jeannie has shared the bill with legends including: Danny Tenaglia, Little Louie Vega, Francois K, Tony Humphries, Danny Krivit, David Morales, Todd Terry, Carry Nation, DJ Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy, and was a resident at Timmy Regisfords Shelter. Shes also played iconic New York City clubs & parties including Pacha, The Good Room, Cielo, Nublu, Francois K's Deep Space, Danny Krivit's 718 Sessions, as well as Centro-fly, Sullivan Room, Tunnel, Save the Robots, Spirit, Love, Roxy, Turntables on the Hudson + more. In London she held a residency at Bridge and Tunnel from 2002 2005 and performed at V-Festival, Fabric, Indulge, Xpress, Whistle Bump + more. International tours included stops in Ibiza@Space, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Greece, Italy, Russia, Malaysia, Canada, France, U.K., and Mexico. Nickodemus Nickodemus went from being a resident DJ in the early days of Giant Step & Organic Grooves, to DJ & producing the Turntables on the Hudson parties since 1998, Nickodemus has been a steady force on the music scene. He has traveled the world as a DJ since age 18 & has been dropping musical productions since 1998 with highlight songs Cleopatra in New York, Mariposa, Free Souls, Sun Children & more... He's collaborated on remixes for Bob Marley, Billy Holiday, Nina Simone, Mr Scruff, Thievery Corporation, The Pimps of Joytime, Quantic & many more... Like his live DJ sets, get ready to go on a musical journey through the World of funky- organic- electronic- urban dance music all seen through the eyes of a New York native who consistently makes music without borders.
Ali Coleman Ali Coleman, was born in Newark NJ and raised on a secret baby formula of Disco, Funk, and House, Ali Coleman has been playing records since before he could walk. Organizer of the Voice of voice NYC & Family Dance Brooklyn parties; Ali has been serving up soulful house, disco & everything in between to some of New Yorks best dance floors since 1999 to all ages; sharing the bill with Francois K, Danny Krivit, Rich Medina, DJ Spinna, Jellybean Benitez, Spinderella, and many others. Ali has hosted parties & played some of NYC's top clubs & party spaces including Cielo, Santos Party House, Bossa Nova Civic Club, House of Yes, Shelter, Limelight and many more. Jay Rodriguez Jay Rodriguez has long played in the club scene from the seminal Giant Step parties to his co-founding of the jam band Groove Collective.
