Dark matter, the deep sea and extraterrestrial life are just some of the phenomena we find most difficult to observe and understand. In THE MOST UNKNOWN, nine scientists from multiple disciplines from all over the world meet each other for the first time in a series of encounters rooted in their work. By tossing scientists who'd never met, into a petri dish of the filmmaker's own design, we learn something about what it means to dedicate one's life to questions we're not yet sure can be answered. This film takes us to a place where scientists who speak from vastly different disciplines can actually speak a common language and important questions transcend a single laboratory.
