With banjo, guitar and fiddle, Chatham Rabbits (Sarah Osborne McCombie, formerly of The South Carolina Broadcasters and Austin McCombie of DASH) play carefully crafted original songs, their own interpretations of folk standards, and old-time fiddle tunes, all with a hearty nod to the traditional Southern music that they love. Their original songs evoke nostalgia and longing, optimism and grit. Hailing from Bynum, North Carolina, just like the original Chatham Rabbits Stringband of the early 20th century, this duo reverently preserves the music that they love while embracing what this music means to them - connection and community.
